AIK lost the derby match to Örgryte IS with 0-3. It's a tough loss for AIK who now trail Sirius by 16 points in the table. AIK now have 18 points after 14 matches and have won 6 matches, played 4 draws and lost 4 matches. They have also conceded 18 goals and have a goal difference of 0.
The match started with Örgryte IS taking the lead after just two minutes. Nordfeldt missed an easy pass which Owen Parker-Price picked up and passed to Noah Christoffersson who scored the first goal.
It didn't happen just once, not twice and not three times, but throughout most of the first half, AIK had a hard time finding the right pass. Balls that went to Örgryte defenders or right out to the corner. Not even the team was together, again and again Örgryte found counter-attacks and they did it with an advantage in most cases.
In the 23rd minute, it was time for the next blow when AIK lost the ball high up in the field which resulted in Örgryte setting up a 3-2 situation. The former AIK player William Hofvander found his way to the second goal-scorer, Noah Christoffersson. He would also get to score the third goal of the day after AIK cleared a corner kick.
Before the second half, Linus Järeteg was replaced by debutant Linus Carlstrand, from the stands you could see how he wanted the ball forward and get something to work with. So it didn't happen. Instead, the ball rolled on the home team's half when the goals were being chased. When the ball finally came out on the left or right side of the field, it was hard to find the right pass.
AIK have one match left before the derby against IFK Göteborg and they have a chance to get back in the table. But it's a tough task and AIK need to show a better performance if they want to have a chance to get back.
