In their latest Ettan Södra match on Saturday, Skövde AIK faced Olympic and suffered a 1-3 loss (0-3). Coach Joel Tivemo Ekström noted that they experienced a tough period of 20 minutes before halftime where their defensive play faltered. Despite this setback, Skövde AIK managed to score in the second half through Alfons Nygaard’s goal, but it wasn't enough to secure a win.
The match began with Olympic taking an early lead when August Karlin scored in the 20th minute. Liam Björninger added another goal for Olympic in the 32nd minute, making the score 2-0. In the final minutes of the first half, Alexander Robért sealed the victory for Olympic, bringing the score to 3-0.
Alfons Nygaard’s goal came with just over a half hour remaining in the game, but it was not enough to turn the tide. Skövde AIK now finds themselves at 13th place in the league table after this defeat, while Olympic remains on 7th place.
The teams will face each other again on September 26th at Södermalms IP. Skövde AIK’s next match is against Lunds BK, scheduled for August 8th at 4 PM at the same venue.
