AIK were held to a 1-1 draw by Mjällby in the Allsvenskan on Tuesday. Axel Kouame equalised in the 40th minute after Jacob Bergström had given the visitors an early lead in the 19th.
Jose Riveiro's side controlled the game from the start, enjoying 71 percent of possession. Despite 22 shots and nine corners, they could not find a winning goal. Mjällby goalkeeper Robin Wallinder made five saves to keep AIK at bay.
Kouame's goal came from a delivery by Abdihakin Ali, who also received a yellow card for dissent. Mjällby picked up three yellow cards to AIK's one.
The point means AIK remain in seventh place in the Allsvenskan with 32 points from 20 games. Their recent form reads two wins, two draws and one loss.
