AIK won the derby match against Djurgården 3–1

AIK won the derby match against Djurgården 3–1, despite being short 11 players. Linus Carlstrand's two goals were decisive.

Linus Carlstrand was one of the stars who shone in AIK's win. He scored two goals, one of which was a dream volley. Carlstrand was pleased with his performance.

– It was a really great day at work, says Carlstrand to SVT Sport.

AIK had 11 players away when they beat Djurgården in the derby. They had Linus Carlstrand, which was enough. Johan Hove scored 3–0 behind a passive Dif-defense before the half was over.

”It's incredible considering the team we have”

– It's incredible considering the team we have. We have many injuries and many important players away and now the young ones step up and take responsibility, says 19-year-old Sixten Gustafsson.

Djurgården got an early goal in the second half when Bo Hegland gave the home crowd hope with his reduction to 3–1. After a duel, the ball was lying in front of their feet and the Norwegian could easily ratchet it in.

– It's a huge disappointment. Our first half is one of the worst we've played. I don't know why it happens. In the second half, we try to give something but we don't do it well enough today. It's boiling inside, says Djurgården's captain Adam Ståhl.

AIK's current form

AIK is currently 6th in Allsvenskan with 25 points. They have won 7 matches, drawn 4 and lost 5. AIK has scored 22 goals and conceded 24.
